CAR HIRE

AMOITA CAR HIRE COMPANY
The AMOITA Car hire Company lets clients chose wither they would like to
pick up their hire cars from the airport or have them delivered free of charge to the villa. This can be arranged so that the car arrives at the villa within hour of your arrival, therefore avoiding the chaos at the airport during busy periods.

Transfers can be easily arranged to and from the airport by English speaking drivers. BRAVO TUR shall be waiting for you on arrival with a sign with your family name on it. They provide Cars and mini buses with child seats to get you to Villa Vale da Pinta without any stress.

A very reliable no hassle car hire company, pick your car up at Faro Airport and deliver it back to the same place, no running around in shuttle buses and taxies. When you arrive at the Airport make your way to the Vodafone shop, across from the shop near the exit you shall see a line of small car hire company’s, Travel Rent is one of them. Access to this car park is with an infrared, the barrier shall recognise your car to let you in and out.

  • Make sure you have fully comprehensive insurance & breakdown insurance. These are normally included in the price, but you are better being safe than sorry

PROPERTY INFO

POWER SUPPLY
The power supply in Portugal is 220volts. In the event of a power cut it should normally only take a few minutes to restore itself. If you need to leave the villa when the power is off you may to open the gates manually.

SECURITY
An alarm system has been supplied but shall be immobilised for your arrival, if you would like to activate it the instructions shall be given to you on arrival. The Villa also has a treble window system which includes aluminium shutters for security, a mosquito net and double glazed windows all of which slide into the wall for maximum visibility. Please take a few moments to demonstrate to any children how to open and close the sliding doors safely with the handle in the down position, also the possibility of walking into mosquito nets, as you are responsible for any damages incurred by careless operation.

SAFE

A safe has been supplied and is located in the laundry room, the code if you wish to use it shall be given on your arrival if requested.

FOOD
Please avoid the feeding and watering of children in the lounge area and bedrooms to avoid any damage to the soft furnishings. We strongly recommend the use of plastic glasses around the pool, as broken glass and bare feet are not the best of holiday memories for you to take home.

FOOD & PESTS
You are in a southern European country and it may be possible to get ants. The ants are attracted by food items especially sugar and sweets. It is very important to keep food wrapped and any spillages should be dealt with immediately.

TAP WATER
We would advise you not to drink the tap water although it is fine for cooking and dental hygiene. There are two filtered drinking water dispensers, one on the fridge and the other at the kitchen sink.

HOT WATER

The hot water should be on for your arrival, if not, the boiler is in the utility room. The boiler is gas and works both the hot water and central heating.

GARDEN
Our team of gardeners work very hard to maintain the garden and keep it looking manicured. They have a key to the gate to let themselves in on a weekly basis (mostly Mondays). We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cost but it is a vital part of the villa maintenance. Hopefully you shall return to Villa Vale da Pinta in the future and see the landscape mature year after year and appreciate it as we do.

AIR CONDITIONING

All bedrooms are fitted with Air Conditioning. It works most effectively with all the doors and windows closed. Information booklets are in all the bedrooms. All remotes have been pre-set to 20 degrees.

MAID SERVICE
During your stay maid service shall be provided twice a week unless you request more often. Duties include general cleaning, dusting, washing floors, changing beds and towels. Towels shall be changed twice a week bed linen once (more if requested). Towels are to be left in the bath as an indication to the maid that fresh towels are required.

BEACH TOWELS
Pink and blue beach towels have been provided for the pool area and the beach free of charge. White towels are STRICTLY for inside the house.

SWIMMING POOL
The pool cleaning service is very important to ensure hygiene, cleanliness and safety and this service is performed on a weekly basis. The maintenance team work very efficiently and try not to inconvenience our guests too much, however, please keep in mind the service can take place without prior notice and he may turn up at your pool area unexpectedly to check the PH level and chlorine on a regular basis. If you would like to put the pool light on at night, the switch is located to the right of the dining room window, the water feature is pre-set to come on twice a day.

SUPERMARKET
Only a few minutes drive from your villa is a well stocked grocery store called Supper Ali, they sell lovely morning bread as well as many other essentials. It is located between the water tower and Presa de Moura and next door is a coffee shop and newsagent. The main supermarket is on the main road between Lagoa and Carvoeiro which also provides a Dry Cleaning service.

GAS FIRE
The fire is gas and is remote controlled, if the remote does not work, open the door at the bottom of the fire and switch on manually.
